Hey, <<First Name>>!

Ram Dass once said, "If you think you're enlightened, go spend a week with your family."

This Christmas, that quote is particularly relevant for me.

You see, it's the first holiday that I've spent without my sister. She hasn't died–– but she has removed herself from our family. I don't know if I'll ever talk to her again. And that hurts.

I'm mourning for my sister, even though she's still alive.

I miss her.

This feels really vulnerable to share. Yet I'm letting you know, <<First Name>>, to assure you that it's normal to be sad during this time of year.

The holidays bring up all the things that are painful and difficult in our families.

That's why, this week, I'm sending you some extra love. I hope that the events in this weeks newsletter can provide a much-needed rest from the seasonal madness, and offer deep connection, playfulness, and peace.

And now, onto the GIF and the fun things. Take it away, Christmas dog:
Okay, okay. One more thing. Real quick!
