Welcome to the Roller Skate Life Newsletter December 2018.

This newsletter is presented by the Es Quint Foundation, powered by Quadsk8 International and supported by Ginger Skates.

Thank you for supporting our goals and activities. In case you just joined in, welcome on board and may your journey through life be a soulful one!

Life is too short not to skate!

The year 2018 has almost come to an end and this was a fast one folks! We have some memorable moments to look back on, and we can only hope to continue in this incredible flow.

A massive thank you and salute to the backers and attendants of the Es Quint Foundation, for sticking with us and sharing your energy and efforts to make awesome things happen. You are all ambassadors of the Foundation and the ideals she stands for.

There is no community without unity and passion for a higher cause. From Es Quint perspective, roller skating is not merely the end goal any more; it has become an amazingly beautiful and effective instrument to communicate with people on different levels in various ways.

In recent months, we have seen a growth in people attending our jam sessions and public activities. We have noticed the attention growing through various channels on the internet and more people reaching out.
We also see mainstream media and entrepeneurs stepping up their efforts to jump on the roller skating bandwagon, for as long as that will last. Therefore, we feel an obligation to keep the underground movement (history, legacy and future) strong and protected, without isolating ourselves and being warm-hearted to anyone wanting to join in. And that takes more precision balancing than one might think!

What can you expect in 2019?
More bounce to the ounce.
Soulful Sundays.
Flashback Friday.
Es Quint Salute & Support Tour.
International Seminars.
Live stream training sessions.
Flow, Form & Function 2.0

And when all that is said and done, we know life is precious and takes its course regardless goals, wishes and circumstances.
So, all we can do is just go with the flow.

May your life be a Soulful One.

Sweater in action!

Being inspired by her own progress and growing passion for rhythm roller skating, Piem decided to combine another passion that she barely has had the time for in recent years. The result is an amazing `Improve your Move` drawing, displayed here by the designer herself.

And we are very proud to welcome and announce another in-house designer, who has been inspired in the same manner, Janna Bedaux.
Most items will be available for limited order, in the course of January 2019.

Practical and safe roller skate training exercises, for anyone getting started on roller skates or wanting to expand their basic knowledge and skillset.

Until we're done testing, here's a little extract of the explanatory article
" Roller skating today (2018) has blossomed into a wide variety of styles, ways and mixed schools of taught and expression. But as far as appeal and taste concerned, it all basically comes down to personal preference; there ’s no such thing as good or bad, just different.
One exception to that rule though; the capability, natural structure and limitations of the human body.  And that’s where we come in. Our way of practice incorporates biomechanics, functional anatomy and neurological aspects for safe and efficient roller skate practice. All our exercises and drills are designed in such a way, to avoid injury and cutting down learning time.
The repetitive character of roller skating is key to developping balance, flow and stamina.  So all practice is structured to limit - or preferably exclude - any damage to joints and muscles in the short and/or long run. Because that will have an extreme impact on your roller skate fun.
We mainly focus on the technical aspects of applying economic use of force to safely and efficiently perform patterns of movement. We do not teach you how to dance. Free flow dance from our perspective is the translation and transition of emotions into movement. That’s another topic."
