Continuous perfect balance is practically impossible, but full awareness can be trained and obtained through repetitive exercise (repetition is the mother of skill). Roller skating is a playful way of challenging and controlling balance. The brain together with the entire proprioceptive sensor system, is immediately activated on the highest level possible. On roller skates, the brain shifts into survival mode and rapid adaptation is in full effect.
Freedom of movement means freedom of expression; freedom of emotion and freedom of choice, to be whoever you want to be and to flow any which way you want to go. If there’s music, then let it guide you through the motion and syncopate with the groove and/or melody. If there’s only your heartbeat, go with that.
