Enough with the Demonstrations - Time to Operationalize UTM!
Dear <<First Name>>
It has been an exciting few weeks for us at ANRA with new wins, new team additions and we are excited to see the industry inching towards an integrated National Airspace System.
Last month, the Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research Alliance (NUAIR), and Griffiss International Airport in Rome, New York, successfully implemented ANRA Technologies UAS traffic management (UTM) platform into the New York State UAS test site as the first operational UAS Traffic Management platform. This advances the NUAIR’s capabilities by enhancing multiple, simultaneous beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations that involve both manned and unmanned vehicles sharing the same airspace.
Coming up, join us on April 29 – May 2 at XPONENTIAL in Chicago and hear our CEO Amit Ganjoo talk about navigating the next steps from research/demonstrations to creating an “Operational UTM” system. Register at www.xponential.org —save 20 percent on registration by using code SPKPIPXPO19.
Our team continues to be actively engaged with the NASA in the final phase of its four-year series of increasingly complicated technical demonstrations involving small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) as well as U.S. Department of Transportation UTM Pilot Project. ANRA’s DroneUSS™ UTM platform is an integral element of both these efforts. With these demonstrations, NASA and its partners including the Federal Aviation Administration and industry leaders like ANRA aim to help the commercial drone industry understand the challenges posed by flying in an urban environment.
DCA Live has spoken and recently announced Washington DC’s top young entrepreneurs and featured Amit Ganjoo as one of the Top 40 NextGen Entrepreneurs. If you happen to be in the DC area on April 23rd we welcome you to join us in the celebration.
We recently spoke with David Hughes, former FAA writer and editor, who wrote a great article “Waiting in the Wings” for Aerospace America gauging the progress of UTM. One of the key messages in the article is a statement made by air traffic management consultant Charlie Keegan, who once led air traffic modernization at the FAA and is former chairman of the Air Traffic Control Association
“The friction will come when the drone industry is ready to go and the government is not”.
As we get ready to head to the XPONENTIAL in Chicago next week, we encourage you to schedule some time to see a platform demo or to meet the team members of our Management team who will be on site. Learn more about the ANRA DroneUSS™ UTM platform, the leading solution for UAS Traffic Management (UTM) as well as our DroneOSS™ Workflow Orchestration platform.
As always, please reach out to us with your questions, thoughts, comments, feedback, and one of our team members will be glad to engage with you.
Your ANRA Team
