Become A Child Development Associate 

Briya Charter School offers online and in-person classes:

Child Development Associate Program: Students prepare for careers working alongside doctors and nurses in medical offices.

Qualifications: Live in Washington DC; have a  high school diploma; be at least 18 and pass a reading entrance exam.

Schedule: Programs requires a commitment of 20 hours per week for 10 months. Classes begin in September, with a mix of online and in-person learning throughout the year.

DCPL: Homeless Services Peer Outreach

Peer Outreach Specialist
 

The Peer Outreach Program at DC Public Library engages with library customers experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Meet with a DC Public Library Certified Peer Specialist if you need:

  • Help with an ID and other critical documents
  • Assistance with finding medical care
  • Ideas for housing or locating employment
  • Help with returning to the community after time in jail or prison
  • Support while experiencing homelessness
You can contact a peer specialist to find out where you can meet or to schedule an appointment.

COVID Rental Assistance Program

Experience The Washington School of Ballet's Classes for ages 3.5 - 12!

All levels of experience are welcome. Students that do not yet have dance attire, may participate in a form fitting shirt and leggings or shorts. Maximum of ten students per class to allow for social distancing. All students and faculty will be masked and receive a temperature check and health questionnaire prior to the class.
