Gabby and Desi on a TRiO field trip to explore the field of Funeral Science at MHCC.
About Gabby:
Gabby has known that she wanted to work in funeral science since she was 9 years old. As long as she has been at Helensview she has expressed interest in learning more about the field. Her best friend, Desi, accompanied her on the TRiO field trip to meet the director of Funeral Science at Mt. Hood Community College. It was a great trip. Gabby and Desi got to see the classrooms and Gabby asked some very specific questions that showed the program director the depth of her knowledge.
TRiO is a program through MHCC that mentors middle and high school students who will be the first in their families to attend college.
