Third Trimester Awards Ceremony at the Creeks

Tuesday, June 13:
The Third Trimester Awards Assembly for the 2016-2017 school year honoring students from Arata Creek and Burlingame Creek Schools was held at Arata Creek on Tuesday.

Joni Tolon presided over the event, and the afternoon began with a music presentation by the students.
Music teachers Ms. Jeigh and Mr. Spank directed a drum circle, and student participants used buckets, coffee cans, and other improvised percussion instruments.
MESD Board Chairman Stephen Beaudoin served as a keynote speaker, and implored students to consider the implications of the mantra,
"I see you, I trust you, I support you."

Awards were presented for level changes, attendance, citizenship, most improved, academic achievement, service, and skill development.
|
|
Students were thrilled to receive recognition of their hard work and achievements.
|
|
|
This final award ceremony of the school year marks the transition of several students to other programs. Future destinations include Burlingame Creek, Estacada Middle School, Cornerstone, Cedar Ridge, and Gresham-Barlow.
|
|
|
The Award Ceremony also featured one graduation.
