Each spring, Friends of Outdoor School awards a handful of scholarships to high school students who have volunteered with the Outdoor School or Oregon Trail programs at least 3 times. Funding for the scholarships comes from sales of Outdoor School merchandise, donations, and the annual Outdoor School Staff Golf Tournament F.U.N.draiser.

The event was hosted by the coordinator of Outdoor School, Dan "Teal" Prince, and was attended by the recipients, their friends and family, and various members of the Outdoor School Staff.
Each recipient was awarded $1000 to use toward their continued education.
