Greetings, Friends of
Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners!

With spring on the horizon, as we eagerly anticipate the long-awaited change in season, we are grateful to report momentum here at Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners is steady. As the months go by, it’s a joy to report each piece of news that represents a prayer asked and answered to keep our mission moving forward one step at a time.

Here’s what’s happening:
A generous supporter donated $150,000-worth of materials for fabrication of the three coolers that will keep our farm produce fresh.

A team of volunteers, including employees of Mulder Waterproofing & Sealants, applied sealer to our concrete floors.

Architect Bruce VanderWeele has completed the drawings for our building renovations.

New Fork Lift
We purchased a forklift from our King Highway neighbor, Kandler Tool Co., at a discount.

Nate Rykse is setting up Neon One donor software.

Scott Musser of Delta Design Systems helped us obtain metal siding for our interior walls at a 75% discount.

Mulder’s Landscape Supply has generously provided dumpsters for waste removal during our renovation.

Renovations to Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners

Rusty Engbers from Engbers Electric has donated his time to help with our electrical renovations.

It is joyful and humbling work: to need, to ask, and to receive these favors from our gracious donors on behalf of our hungry brothers and sisters in places like Haiti and Ukraine. With each favor granted, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for what can only be the favor of the Lord, apart from whom nothing would be possible. And yet we suppose it should come as no surprise that we, who have inherited His abundant and undeserved grace for our salvation, should experience His favor in the humble pursuit of feeding orphans. To God be the glory!

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands–yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17 NIV
