Greetings, Friends of
Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners!
February has been a busy month for Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners, and God continues to amaze us with His faithfulness. Be it flooring or paint, prayer or potatoes, needs arise and are continually met with God’s abundant provision. We are encouraged, excited, and humbled day after day as we trust Him with each step forward for KVG.

Here’s what’s happening:
CPA Alan Himebaugh has volunteered to help us with our bookkeeping.

Jason Walther of Walther Farms gave farmer/KVG supporter Harvey Leep and Jim Van Tuinen a tour of their Fresh Solutions potato processing facility in White Pigeon. Jason has pledged to contribute surplus potatoes to us.

Lori and Matt Ruimveld of ProSource Flooring found our mission so compelling they are contributing the flooring for our building at no charge.

H & H Painting Co. recently completed the grinding and cleaning of our concrete floors at a discounted rate. Consumers Concrete is providing a sealer for the concrete floors at a generous discount as well.

Our building team continues to make progress in planning for the renovation of 5541 King Highway.

We were excited to hear from the folks at Nyle Systems in Brewer, Maine, that the construction of our dehydrator is underway.

We were warmly received by Third Christian Reformed Church and Centerpoint Church when we visited to share the “Gleaner Gospel.” Many of their members contributed and expressed interest in volunteering when the time comes.

To all these supporters and many more, we say a big KVG “Thank you.” You are an answer to our prayers and you are moving Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners closer to serving “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40 NIV). World hunger may persist, but it does not escape God’s notice. He “gives justice to the poor and food to the hungry” (Psalm 146:6-7 CEV).

Lord, continue to help us build Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners so we can feed the hungry, share your gospel, and glorify you. In your name we pray. Amen.
