Special Alert on TIP & the SDGs
First of all, we hope that this email finds you and your loved ones in good health.
We would like to take the opportunity to announce that MinCiencias, the new ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in Colombia, has adopted the Misión de Sabios* proposal for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in Colombia.

We, together with a team of researchers of the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) and our Colombian partners, have contributed to this proposal by submitting the following policy report:
  1. Transforming Our World: Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. Proposal for a Colombian Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Programme of Experimentation with a Strong Regional Focus. (Entire report - English)
  1. Transformando Nuestro Mundo: Implementación de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Propuesta para un Programa de Experimentación de Políticas de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación con Enfoque Regional en Colombia. (Report summary - Spanish)
In this report, we emphasizes the need for system change and transformative innovation, based on the key findings of the well-received publication Three Frames for Innovation Policy (Schot & Steinmueller, 2018). This TIPC founding 3 frames paper is also available in SpanishTo implement this, our report proposes a national programme of experimentation with a strong regional focus. We elaborate how our proposal can also contribute to tackling health crises like COVID-19 in this statement
Furthermore, our TIP Latin America Hub is launching soon to manifest the collaboration between the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) and a wide range of universities in Colombia, and to move the implementation of the recommendations forward.
