Author Event: First Nations 101 with Lynda Gray
We are thrilled to host author Lynda Gray at the Main Branch of the library June 16 from 6:30-8:00. Lynda will talk about her new book, the 2nd edition of First Nations 101. She will discuss how the shared history between Indigenous people and non-Indigenous people plays out today, how to be a great ally, as well as answering the question, What is reconciliation? There will be time for Q&A, and copies of the book will be available for sale.
Summer Reading Club for Kids & Teens

Summer Reading Club is a fun, FREE program that encourages children of all ages to read during the summer. Choose your reading goal, earn stickers and even a medal! We will also have prize draws, fun programs and activities in July and August, and more. Pick up your reading log from the library any time after June 13 (June 14 in Queensborough) and read, read, read!

Teens age 12 and up can join our Teen Summer Reading Club. Prizes for teens include a Kobo e-reader, books, and gift cards! Check out the Events Calendar for fun summer programs like Teen Brunch and Books!

Be sure to keep up with all of our kids programs and activities here: Please note that story time and baby time are on hiatus in June while we prepare for the Summer Reading Club!

Help Us Choose New Book Club Sets!

We need your help to choose which titles we should purchase as book club sets. The public service librarians have made a master list with lots of great choices, now it's up to you to help us choose. Please fill out the survey here by June 15, choosing your top 5 titles! Each title is linked to the book in our catalogue and we have created a handy list with brief annotations here. There will be a prize draw for participants - you could win books or a gift card!
