Seed Library Launch

SEEDY SATURDAY
We are thrilled to launch our new Seed Library with a special garden-themed event! Join us on Saturday, February 11 from 10-2 for a family fun celebration. Rain or shine there will be kids' activities, garden advice, food trucks, door prizes, and, of course, free seeds, indoors and out!

Read all about the seed library and come and check out some seeds starting February 11.

Climate Solutions 101
Has the news on climate change got you down? Learn more about what the science says and what we can do to help on a  personal, community and global level. Educators from RegenerateBC will help us find hope through action. February 7, 6:00-7:30.

Call for Artists
Are you a New Westminster artist wanting to show your work? The NWPL has opened its annual call for artists to exhibit their work on the gallery panels in the library second floor gallery space. Check out all the details and submit online here. Submissions are due by February 11, 2023.

PODCASTING MEETUP
Are you interested in learning about podcasting? Would you like to try recording and editing? Join our monthly guided group discussion to experiment together, learn from each other, and try out our new podcasting equipment. No experience necessary! Next session, February 1, 6:00-7:30
eBOOKS WITH NWPL
Bring your own mobile device or wifi-enabled eReader and get help downloading and reading or listening to eBooks from the Library. February 22, 6:00-7:30.
Tax Basics with FSGV

February marks the start of tax season. Filing taxes is not the most fun, but it is the only way to access lots of government benefits. And cashing a cheque IS fun! Join Family Services in this workshop over Zoom to learn the basics and overcome your challenges. February 8, 6:00-7:30.

CaRT Peer Navigators
If you are struggling and don't know where to start, our new Community and Resource Team (CaRT) can help you get sorted. These peer navigators with lived experience are available for weekly drop-ins to work with you one-on-one to achieve your goals. Wednesdays 11-2 starting February 15

Looking for something to do on the February ProD Day? Why not bring your best comic book, graphic novel, or manga recommendations to our teen book club and enjoy some pizza too? February 21, 2:00-3:00

Holidays and Service Notes

Happy Family Day! Both branches of the library will be closed on Sunday February 19 and Monday February 20, 2023.

The library will also be closed for staff development on Friday, February 24, 2023.
