Hi Members,
Wow, All Breeds is now behind us, we were blessed with good weather and lots of competitors. More details in Sam's Show report.
Sadly, Sam is stepping down from her position of Show Secretary due to obligations with family but will still be an active member of the club in her new position of Sponsorship Coordinator.
The club would like to thank Sam for her dedication and hard work over the 11 years that she has been Show Secretary, she is going to be very hard to replace, I know we are all going to miss her.
The 2017 Nominated Stallions Half Price Service Sale is now on, please see a list further in this newsletter. Please support this sale as it is a fundraiser for our 2018 All Breeds show.

Show Secretary Report
This is my last report as the clubs show secretary, so I would like to thank all of the committee, past and present, for all of the hard work they have also put into the club to help it run.
RE 2017 All Breeds show, it was a great turn out this year with over 120 horses for the 3 days of showing. I would like to say thank you to those competitors that took the time to read the note attached to your numbers about the grounds and took action and kept your stables and camping areas clean. (There were a lot of halter competitors – down the bottom area that did not). Until you have been involved with set up and take down of a show, you wouldn’t understand the requirements from the grounds to look after the place. I’m please to say that thanks to a lot of hard work we got an all clear and NO EXTRA BILL from the grounds. (Ever wondered why the cost of your noms/entries go up- we have to pass bills on…lol). So keep your areas clean and this means every little bit of manure/hay and human rubbish returned to the bins.
Back to the show, I have heard nothing but nice reports about the American Judge and hope that you all felt the judging was fair, (if not slightly long on the sat). I would like to thank all of the show committee and helpers that make the show run as well as it did. There is a lot of behind the scene jobs that go into running a show of this size, so thank you all again for your hard work. I’m not going to individually name people as I normally forget someone.
A great big thank you to all of the fantastic sponsors who were able to help out this year as well. I’m sure I will be talking to you again real soon about more sponsorship as this is the new portfolio I’m about to take on. To all of the competitors that won prizes over the weekend I hope that you make contact with these sponsors and thank them yourselves as it really goes a long way to the sponsors  helping out again.
Well thank you for your support of the last 11 years in this role as show secretary and I'm sure I will see you around the shows,(now that Danni has a taste for haltering, after her swimming of course…lol)
Sam Calvert.

Position vacant - Show Secretary
As some of you may already know Sam has hung up her hat from the roll of Show Secretary for the Club. Sam has been in this position for over a decade so in saying this has very slim line practices that allows the shows to run smoothly.
The new person will have support from Sam as she undertakes her new role of Club Sponsorship Guru and also that of the other committee members.
Sam made the hard decision to step away from the role she loves in order that she can encourage and support her daughter Dani whilst she adventures into a life in the swimming pool which is taking up a considerable amount of time with swimming commitments.
The show secretary position is vacant and is required to be filled asap in order that the rest of the year events can be organised.
So the club needs you - if you think you have the wonderful attributes in which to take up this position then please give either Sam or another committee person a call.

WANTED to Borrow or Lease for at least the remainder of this show year. I need a very special  Western trained horse to ride at home and compete in  some WP walk trot and beginner classes. I love Western Dressage and ride in the Intro and Basic classes.  I am not a confident rider so the horse needs to be calm, sensible, and very forgiving of my lack of riding ability. Ideally around 15hh and with a bigger butt than me.
If anyone has such a horse and are willing to part with it for a while, I can offer it a safe, loving home in the Gympie area. Please contact Carol-anne Stedman 0409538582 or . Thank you.
