Each month we will spotlight a Rome First Mission.

December's Communion offering benefits the
AIDS Resource Council of Rome.

ARC began in 1994 with a small group of citizens concerned about the issues and needs facing those living with HIV/AIDS.  ARC is a community-based education and service organization helping those who are infected, as well as those affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Northwest Georgia.  Georgia currently ranks first in new cases of HIV infection.  ARC offers free testing on a walk in basis, counseling and support for persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families, and help navigation the emotional and financial challenges of a positive diagnosis.  Your contribution to this month's offering will assist ARC in their mission to love and support members of our community living with HIV/AIDS.

Mission Opportunities:
On December 15th everyone is invited to a brunch with our friends of AIDS Resource Council in the Wilder Center dining room at noon.  Bring your friendly, welcoming self and a dish to share for a meal with families in our community involved with ARC.  Come and help pack Christmas care baskets for those too ill to attend.  Contact cathy@romefirst.org to let us know you're coming or with any questions.  The more the merrier.
This year we will pack 40 Christmas Care baskets for families affected by HIV/AIDS.  We'll be collecting homemade cookies, warm socks, and any self-care items that make people feel better.  Bring your items to the Church Office.  Thank you!

Our Share the Light Tree is in the Wilder Center Lobby.  Come have a look.  See how we can spread love and light in our community this Christmas season.
