International Print Day
UNOG is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the International Print Day with a presentation by Google’s Analytics Advocate, Daniel Waisberg, who will talk about data visualization techniques used to effectively uncover insights and communicate data, showing some of the best practices for charts and other types of visualizations, as well as the design principles behind them. Venue is Room XXIII from 3pm - 5pm, on Thursday 11 October. You can register here
But this is just the beginning: It will be followed by Virtual Reality storytelling, a talk with 2018 Pulitzer Prize winner, Nicole Carroll, Editor in Chief, USA Today along with the Pulitzer Prize winner, Ray Soto, Director of Emerging Technology for USA Today; and Virtual Reality Producer, David Bradshaw, from BBC Studio. Plus a special hands-on workshop where participants can learn how to produce a VR movie directly from industry experts. You can try to grab a place here.
The icing on the cake will come from an exhibition taking place at the Palais, on the third floor of Building E from October 11 – 17, we will have an interesting exhibition onwith digital, printed and other multimedia works produced by the Printing Section, including the latest UN Secretary-General Annual Report on the work of the organization.
