Happy & Sporty New Year 2020!
What's up in 2020?
2020 Will be an Exciting Year for the Sport for All Movement!
As 2019 concluded with a successful 26th TAFISA World Congress in Tokyo, Japan, this year will see new developments in TAFISA's programmes and events, reflecting on the growth of the Global Sport for All Movement and aligning with TAFISA Mission 2030 setting the roadmap for action in using Sport for All to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

The 7th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in Lisbon, Portugal (1-7 October 2020) promise to be a milestone event. The Games, under the patronage of IOC, UNESCO, ICSSPE and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, will see over 100 delegations from as many countries present Traditional Sports and Games from all around the world in a friendly, inclusive and inspiring festival promoting cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.
We hope to see you there! More information about the Games at: https://tafisaworldgames2020.org/

This year will also see the launch of two projects co-funded by the Earsmus+ programme of the European Commission. The "Europe in Action" project will endeavour to transfer fundamental and topical European key policy areas in the field of grassroots sport into priorities for practical action. "Training the Female Sport for All Leaders of Tomorrow" will equip and empower a new generation of young women who are currently working (or volunteering) in Sport for All with the necessary skills, knowledge, experiences and guidance to lead the global Sport for All Movement in Europe and Africa.
In an effort to better answer the needs of local communities, TAFISA will continue to explore opportunities to work with its regional networks through new programmes and collaborations, in particular in Africa, the Americas and Oceania, while strengthening its current activities in Europe and in Asia. We will also develop new services for our members and further expand our Mission 2030 Platform.

In addition, TAFISA will keep sharing knowledge and experience to train the future leaders of the Sport for All movement through our Certified Leadership Courses (CLC) worldwide.
CLCs are planned in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Rwanda, USA, Guatemala and ten African countries from Region 5. Applications are still open (Application Form).

Like every year, the TAFISA World Challenge Day (WCD) will take place on 27 May, encouraging cities from all over the world to compete in making their citizens active for at least 15 minutes.
Register for the TAFISA WCD 2020:
On 3-4 October, millions worldwide will join the TAFISA World Walking Day.

Join us on our journey for a better world, let's make 2020 a milestone year in the global Sport for All movement!
