Marching, making phone calls, going to town halls and resisting is working! Persist!

ITEM #1 – PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE TO RSVP FOR OUR EARTH DAY SCIENCE MARCH ON 4/22/17.
  • Even if you've RSVP'd on our Facebook or on another group's Facebook page, please register/RSVP on our website so that we know you are coming and can plan accordingly. Thanks!

ITEM #2 – CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER AT OUR EARTH DAY SCIENCE MARCH ON 4/22/17.  
  • A list of volunteer opportunities is available on the sign up sheet. 

ITEM #3 – SIGN A PETITION TO PASS SB 54 TO PROTECT IMMIGRANTS IN CALIFORNIA
  • Also encourage your state senators to support this bill (the California Values Act).  

ITEM #4 – USE GOVTRACK.US TO RESEARCH AND TRACK LEGISLATION IN CONGRESS, INCLUDING BILLS AND RESOLUTIONS, VOTING RECORDS, AND COMMITTEE ACTIVITY.
  • Use this information to contact your representatives and be heard.  
  • To fax your US representatives for free, text "resist" to 504-09. Resistbot allows you to compose a text that will then be formatted into a letter and faxed to Washington, DC.    

ITEM #5 – CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE 
  • Ask Members of Congress to support a select committee to independently investigate Trump's ties to Russia
  • Monday (House reps), Wednesday (Senators): Ask Members of Congress to support the Presidential Tax Transparency Act by asking for the release of Trump's tax returns

I Can't Keep Quiet Flashmob
A mirror event for MILCK's #ICantKeepQuiet Day. Event is billed not as a protest but as a sign of unity, coming together and singing a song that has become an anthem for the movement. Singing not required.

Please join the Women's March Contra Costa for education, science presentations, interactive activities, and family fun!  We are partnering with local action groups to stand up for protection of our environment and to rally for continued funding for scientific research and public environmental agencies. This will be a non-partisan march.
