Be The Church, #410
Worship in the SANCTUARY & ONLINE at 10:00 AM
Dear Friends in Christ,
Join us this morning for worship with music, word, and fellowship as we begin our Lenten series, "Seeking: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith." This week's question is, "Who will you listen to?" After worship we'll gather for community hour and our monthly conversation with the Governing Board. Then at 3 PM, join us in the sanctuary for the "The Congregational Church Follies."
We will be worshipping in our Sanctuary and via livestream on Facebook, YouTube, or our website. Livestream links and a bulletin for those worshiping from home. You also are invited to take a moment to fill out our Weekly Worship Response card.
Faithfully,
Pastor Meghan

“seeking: honest questions for deeper faith”
This Lent, we invite you to engage in the spiritual practice of seeking. We encourage you to stay curious, open, and nimble. We hope you will soften your assumptions and expand your perspectives. We pray that these questions will create a safe space to explore—to be drawn more deeply into the fullness of life, into the heart of God. Pick up Lenten brochures and devotionals from the Narthex. They will also be provided through the eblast.

As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer brings these lenses of knowledge together to show that the awakening of a wider ecological consciousness requires the acknowledgment and celebration of our reciprocal relationship with the rest of the living world. For only when we can hear the languages of other beings are we capable of understanding the generosity of the earth, and learning to give our own gifts in return. There is also a Young Adult version also available for discussion with youth. Sign up online.
