It's Official: TASC's Paid Internship Program Has Started!

As everyone was enjoying their Labor Day with BBQ's, road trips, and relaxing --many of our clients felt the butterflies of starting a new job the very next day.

September 4th marked the first day of TASC's Paid Internship Program (PIP) where clients were paired with community-based businesses and organizations for employment.

Employment is the beginning of a new chapter for our clients, allowing them a renewed sense of pride and motivation, as well as providing an opportunity for them to contribute their unique set of skills to the community.

A special thanks to our community partners for opening their doors to help our client's start this new chapter:
  • My Fish Stop
  • Denny's (various locations)
  • Myke's Cafe
  • Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission
  • Cali Fresh Mexican Grill
  • Princess P. Closet
Behind the scenes, TASC has been hard at work securing employment locations and ensuring partnerships are a win-win for all involved. There are more talented clients who are in the process of placement.

You too can be a part of this exciting time for our clients!

If you own a business, or are connected to a business who may be interested in working with TASC's employment services, please contact Johnny Palacios:

Basketball Tournament 2018

The TASC Basketball Tournament was an exciting afternoon filled with teamwork, high-energy, positivity and inclusion for all abilities. Teams were made up of TASC clients, staff and community members. There were even cheerleaders on the sidelines and CSUN clubs cheering along in the stands.

The Tournament came down to a nail-biting end with our client, Ramiro making the winning shot with just one second left in the game!

This year we provided embroidered TASC jerseys to the players, which really made them feel a part of the team.

Thanks to family members, sponsors and donors we were able to raise over $2,500 donations for TASC!

A special thanks to our sponsors:
  • Enterprise Fleet Management
  • IH Communications
  • StoneFire Grill
  • My Fish Stop

Tacos & TASC - A Fundraiser with Del Taco

TASC is incredibly grateful for the support of Del Taco (Lake Balboa & Vanowen location) for hosting a fundraiser where they donated 20% of sales to TASC during specific times on September 6. This location has supported us for the past several years.

To honor the management and employees of Del Taco, we presented a plaque to thank them for being an incredible community partner.

Thanks to Del Taco's support, we raised over $330 donations for TASC!
Happy Anniversary, Lowell!

Lowell is celebrating 8 years of working with TASC.

He has been our receptionist known for his warm welcome to TASC office guests, and of course his witty jokes!

Thank you, Lowell for being a part of the TASC family!
