The grant will provide resources to complete the manuscript, work with the amazing Carolyn Williams-Noren as a mentor and offer a workshop at Vision Loss Resources as well as a couple other community events.
Not all states or communities support artists and the arts in the ways Minnesota does, so I am grateful (even as the temperatures plunge!) to live where I do.
And it’s great to have this nudge to walk the walk on my belief that it’s vital to keep the “artist” in the role of teaching artist. To help others explore and grow as creative people, it’s vital that we continue and grow in our own creative practices.
