Hundreds of thousands of Ontarians have new rights at work, but many don't yet know about them.
These rights will promote health by raising incomes and ensuring that people can take time off when an emergency comes up. Health providers can help to share information on new rights at work with people when they access health services.
Together with Workers' Action Centre, we are hosting a one-hour webinar to provide information on new protections for workers, including personal emergency leave and the elimination of required sick notes. We will also share new resources and ideas on how to stay involved in advocacy for decent work.
When: Wednesday, May 16, 12:00-1:00 PM EDT (followed by an optional 30-minute Q&A)
Many health providers will find the information useful as both workers and providers.
