Online Solo Exhibition

Anthony Romagnano (1985) is a mid-career artist who primarily creates small-scale artworks with pencil and paint on paper, with an extended practise in digital media. He often references popular culture images in his work, which he interprets and draws in the outline before adding blocks of vivid colour.

Romagnano has worked in the Arts Project studio since 2004 and presented his first solo show in 2008. He has exhibited in numerous national and international group shows, and has work in the National Gallery of Victoria, as gifted by Stuart Purves, with work also held in private collections Australiawide.

Monica Lazzari on the Integrity of Viewing

In this interview, Monica Lazzari, a regular Arts Project Australia studio artist since 2006, talks about striking a balance between impulsiveness and planned structure in her compositions and the fluid language of art which, she believes, viewers should feel without interference.

The day we all went home
Online auction / Sunday 28 June 2020

We are thrilled to announce an exclusive online auction of 100 artworks in partnership with Leonard Joel, our supporter of 10 years, to fundraise for Arts Project Australia and its artists.

On Saturday 16 March, the Arts Project Australia studio closed due to COVID19 and 150 artists were asked to stay home, leaving many pieces of art behind. The auction, hosted by Leonard Joel, presents an opportunity to purchase from a suite of unique contemporary artworks created before the day we all went home.

Leonard Joel is sponsoring the event and waiving their buyer’s premium, with 100% of proceeds going to participating artists and Arts Project Australia.

Catalogue released week starting June 15.
