Welcome to the April update

Further afield

The daffodils, blossom on trees and even the odd bit of sunshine are encouraging us to think that Spring is truly on its way and Easter is just around the corner.
We listened to you. You told us that though you like the facilities at Corpus Christi College you did not like its situation so we are trying out a new venue. We have cancelled our booking with Corpus Christi for the MAY and JUNE dances and these are now being held at the Holy Trinity Community Hall in Meanwood. Holy Trinity Church sits at the heart of Meanwood and the community hall is right next door. There is a private car park for 30 cars adjacent to the hall.  Please use the postcode LS6 4LF for your SatNav or Google maps, which is correct for the hall and its vehicle entrance up Memorial Drive (a dead end road).  This is on the right, off Green Rd which leads to Meanwood Park and the Oates Memorial (brown signs); it sits between Church Avenue and Church Lane, also leading off Green Rd.

The Branch is organising two family ceilidhs in the Autumn as a recruitment exercise (also at Holy Trinity Community Hall). More information to follow, but save the dates 26th Oct and 30th Nov.

We are pleased to report that the Outfit for sale (circulated last month) has been successfully sold. Many thanks to Brenda Burnell who made the donation which made £250 for Branch funds.
