Many members will remember Betty and Terry Chater from their regular attendance, accompanied by groups of younger dancers, at Leeds Branch Dances, Day Schools and Festivals. Betty died in January this year and appropriately Darlington Branch are celebrating her life with a dance. This is from the Darlington Scottish Dance Group.

"We are pleased to announce that George Meikle and the Lothian Band will be playing for Betty's memorial dance with a programme of many of Betty's favourite dances. We hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate Betty's life and her love of Scottish Country Dancing on Saturday 2nd June 2018 at Hummersknott Academy, Edinburgh Drive, Darlington DL3 8AR at 7.30pm. Tickets are now available at £10 (£5 for students) and their will be a faith supper. Proceeds from the dance will go to The British Heart Foundation.

Please make any cheques payable to Darlington Scottish Country Dancers and post them to 3 Oakdene Avenue, Darlington DL3 7HR. Rather than post tickets out, they will be left on the door to collect and the crib will be emailed to you. If you would prefer to pay through bank transfer please contact Louise for details.
