Season's greetings from everyone at Birmingham Community Matters
Here are details of several grants, events, volunteering opportunities and even a job that we didn't want you to miss due to the holidays.
Some have short deadlines so please take a look before yule-log off (sorry).
Scroll down for a festive bundle from BCM. We'll wish you a merry Christmas at the bottom ...
Leadership coaching and funding from the Weston Charity Awards
Small charities in Birmingham could benefit from a year of leadership coaching from business mentors, along with £6,500 funding.
Weston Charity Awards are for frontline charities working in projects involving community, welfare or youth. Run by the Garfield Weston Foundation with Pilotlight, the awards are open to charities with an income of under £5m.
The application process is relatively quick, and open now until Friday 10 January 2020.
On Tuesday 14 January (11am to 2.30pm), Birmingham We Are will be holding its fourth annual showcase of Birmingham's culture, creativity, history and community.
In the Banqueting Suite at Birmingham City Council House, more than 100 people and organisations from across the city will be displaying their work. That includes the BCM team - we'll be there with a stand. We're also honoured to have been nominated for a People with Passion Award; the winners will be announced on the day.
The Norton Foundation: applications open for capital grants
The Norton Foundation provides financial assistance for young people under 25 whose personal development and progress will benefit as a result and who live in the geographical area of Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire.
Every five years the Norton Foundation invests a substantial amount into an organisation developing a capital project (see past beneficiaries here). Applications are now invited for the 2020 capital grant. You can find out more at nortonfoundation.org.
