WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT THIS WEEK
Our Facebook Group passed 1,000 members this past week! That's roughly 1% of the population of Yamhill County. Our Steering Group was inspired by this Ted Talk -- let's keep growing!
- Local wine maker, Remy Wines, was highlighted in Cosmopolitan Magazine on the list of “Top 37 Brands to Buy From That Help the LGBTQ+ Community.” See the article here.
- The Mayor of Amity has announced he will not seek re-election. Do you know someone who is interested in running for office someday? Yamhill County Democrats are hosting a series to train local candidatse, starting Saturday, July 11th - see details below or register here.
- Our community came together and raised almost $4,000 in 12 hours to help get a Black Lives Matter billboard up in McMinnville. Stayed tuned for when and where the billboard will be up!
- Senator Brian Boquist, SD-12 (Willamina, Amity, McMinnville, Dayton, Yamhill, Carlton) was back in the news this week as an example of extremism.
