Friday Night Meet-Up!


Main Street held its second membership meet up at Rockville Town Center's Friday Night Live on August 4. Around 20 members gathered on a beautiful evening to enjoy a fun rock band, dancing and frozen yogurt. It was great way for members to connect and meet new friends.

Resource Spotlight: Edlavitch DC JCC inspires meaning through inclusive, holistic programming

Located in Dupont Circle, Edlavitch DC JCC (EDCJCC) provides social, fitness and vocational opportunities to young adults (16+) of all abilities in a safe and nurturing environment. Inspired to bring inclusion, fun and meaning into the lives of adults with disabilities, EDCJCC runs a variety of programs, including social events (such as bowling and game nights), vocational programming (including skill-building clubs), fitness (including swimming and self-defense) and employment supports, integrating peer buddies to both mentor and model. Program director Stacey Herman insures a personal experience targeting individual interests and abilities by meeting with each newly-registered family individually.

PCR Fall Registration - now open!

Potomac Community Resources (PCR) offers a range of social, recreational and respite care programs for teens and adults who have developmental differences at sites throughout lower Montgomery County.  PCR programs include music, chorus, photography, fitness & exercise, discussion groups and respite care.  See PCR's program schedule and register for the Fall semester here.
