Hello from another fortnightly GSS newsletter. Bit of a brief one this time. Any feedback, please email email@example.com.
What's new on the GSS website?
The biggest news for the GSS this week is the launch of the new strategy for the UK statistical system: Statistics for the Public Good.
Diversity and inclusion
Take a look at our new page about how diversity and inclusion is being promoted across the Government Statistician Group.
Policy and guidance hub
If you're planning on any user engagement soon remember we have user engagement guidance featuring real-life case studies. The most recent one we've added is from the Office for Rail and Road about the new data portal they developed after consulting with their users.
A few interesting vacancies have come up this fortnight:
Newsletter delivery woes continue
We still seem to be having issues with the newsletter getting delivered to email addresses. If you know someone who should have had this newsletter or previous ones but didn't get them please let me know: firstname.lastname@example.org.
However there is some positive news - subscription forms and lists are fully working - if you know someone who wants to subscribe please tell them to use the form on the GSS website.
Also if you work in the Department for Digital,Culture, Media and Sport and your email address has changed please remember to subscribe with your new email address.
And finally ...
This week I have been mostly listen to episodes of Dan Snow's History Hit podcast and putting Ikea storage furniture together. I happily recommend both (although I hate Ikea's delivery fee of £50 when there is consistently a queue of over an hour to get in the shop).
