Heterosexual HIV Infoline 1800 812 404

Welcome to the 4th edition of the
Pozhet e-newsletter

The latest HIV data report from MoH suggests that NSW continues to make progress towards the virtual elimination of HIV transmission. There were 22 per cent fewer notifications in the first three months of 2019, than the average for the same period over the previous five years. While the total results are encouraging, HIV notifications among heterosexuals have not decreased. This means we need to continue to deliver important HIV related health messages targeting heterosexuals at risk of HIV.

This year, Pozhet continues its valuable partnerships with Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service and Positive Life NSW on broader population level initiatives targeting both heterosexuals at risk of, and living with, HIV. Initiatives include social media campaigns, community engagement events and educational resources. Collectively we aim to achieve a broader reach and better outcomes for our communities.
