“This is my station. There are those stations that you keep on your favorites in your car, and this is my station,” says Cassandra Bizzaro, a Public Radio Tulsa listener.
|
|
Cassandra started listening to 89.5 after returning to Tulsa from a 10-year stint in New York City.
“[KWGS] keeps me connected to what's going on within Tulsa,” Cassandra says, something she especially values after returning home. Whether it's local news, or PSAs about events going on in the city, Cassandra appreciates the local focus of KWGS.
“I feel like every time I listen to NPR, every time I listen to our local station, I get something out of it. It's always providing value to me.”
And in turn, she decided to support the station that brings so much value to her everyday life.

“This is just one thing that I interact with on a daily basis that I can show my support to, not just through listening, but through a monetary donation,” Cassandra emphasizes. “I'm a part of keeping this important resource around and thriving, and I feel passionate about that.”
