Burlingame, California – Burlingame, California – Mike Brownrigg, candidate for State Senate, announced that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 617 endorsed him. This builds on the more than 700 community members who have endorsed him along with over 35 mayors and former mayors, and over 50 other elected officials across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.

“I am proud and humbled by IBEW Local 617’s confidence in me as a candidate for State Senate as well as by the support of the leadership and, most importantly, the members,” said Brownrigg.  “I look forward to building a stronger, greener, more efficient California with IBEW and its members over the decade ahead. We have a lot of work to do to fully electrify our energy and transport systems, to strengthen our grid, and to make sure we pull carbon out of our energy stream, and IBEW members are going to be absolutely central to all those efforts.”

Dave Mauro, Business Manager and Steven Booker, Registrar said, “The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 617’s Members and Officers are pleased to stand behind Mike Brownrigg's candidacy for State Senate to represent District 13.  Our Local gives its full and enthusiastic endorsement to Mike based on his 18-year track record building in Burlingame. Mike gets it and, like IBEW, he gets it done.”
