Christmas is coming early to Banbury in the shape of Alan Ayckbourn's Season's Greetings. This black, often farcical, comedy is the opener to Banbury Cross Players’ 2017/2018 Season and follows a dysfunctional family over a period of four days at Christmas. Hilarious highlights include a drunken game of snakes and ladders, a chaotically incompetent puppet show and a midnight love scene!
Director Trish Thompson, looks back with fondness at her previous productions with BCP. “I realise they have all been comedies and two were by Alan Ayckbourn. This says a lot about me. I love to hear the audience’s vocal response. That first laugh is very special - it's the audience’s seal of approval."
As well as familiar and returning faces in the cast, BCP are delighted to welcome Simon Grey to his first production with BCP in the role of Eddie.
The show opens at The Mill Arts Centre, Spiceball Pk Rd, Banbury, OX16 5QE, on 8 November 2017 and runs until 11 November 2017. Curtain up is at the new time of 7.30pm.
