Dear <<First Name>>,

If you’re a Los Angeles renter who has fallen behind on your rent as a result of COVID-19, you still have until this Thursday, March 31, to apply for rental assistance through California’s “Housing is Key” assistance program.

You can apply online via or call (833) 687-0967 if you need help filling out an application.
This assistance is just one part of my ongoing work to protect renters, which also includes:

✅ Creating the nation’s strongest COVID-19 eviction protections, which remain in effect
✅ Leading local efforts to reform California’s Costa Hawkins Act and expand local rent control protections
Removing loopholes to protect tenants from evictions and unscrupulous, corporate landlords
✅ Advocating for the repeal of Article 34 to increase our City’s supply of affordable housing and
✅ Producing more affordable housing units than nearly any other area in the city

My team and I are always fighting and will keep working to help us emerge from the pandemic stronger than before.

Other programs that may help you include small business assistance and Los Angeles County’s guaranteed income initiative, which begins accepting applications this Thursday, March 31.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my work to protect renters, please contact my team at (213) 207-3015.

We are here to help and be of service to you.

With kind regards,
