Dear <<First Name>>,
As we prepare to gather with friends and family this 4th of July holiday weekend, it’s a good time to talk about firework safety.
Although fireworks are fun to look at, they are dangerous, illegal and can cause distress to our neighbors, veterans and furry friends. Please be a good neighbor and refrain from engaging in this activity.
MySafeLA is an agency devoted to educating the public about fire safety. Since its inception, MySafeLA has prioritized robust community engagement to alert the public about the risks of fireworks.
You can help increase awareness about MySafeLA and firework safety by placing a lawn sign in your yard or window. This sign will remind your neighbors that fireworks are not only disruptive to residents and our animal companions, but are also illegal. Please visit bit.ly/mysafela to print your own sign.
If you’d like to report illegal fireworks activity in your neighborhood, you can call the LAPD non-emergency number at 1-877-ASK-LAPD (877-275-5273) or use the following link: complaint.lacity.org/complaint/fireworks/.
For a list of permitted fireworks shows hosted by professionals, please visit this link.
Let’s keep our neighborhoods safe.
Happy 4th of July!
