Dear <<First Name>>,
I’m excited to announce that my office will be concluding the City’s annual LGBT Heritage Month festivities by honoring East West Players, as well as its Producing Artistic Director, Snehal Desai, next Wednesday, June 30, at 3:30pm on Facebook and Channel 35.
As the nation’s first professional Asian-American theatre, East West Players and Snehal embody what it means to be frontline advocates. Through their artistic productions and educational programs, they have brought visibility and fostered dialogues exploring Asian Pacific experiences.
Please join us as we recognize East West Players as our 2021 LGBT Heritage Month honoree.
Again, the event will be held live on Facebook, next Wednesday, June 30, at 3:30pm. Please visit this link to watch the webcast, or tune in live on Ch 35.
With kind regards,
MITCH O'FARRELL

REDUCING THE URBAN HEAT ISLAND EFFECT

|
GLASSELL PARK - On Thursday, Councilmember O'Farrell joined Councilmember De León and Glassell Park residents to celebrate the transformation of the Verdugo Median from a strip of barren asphalt into an environmental asset with native vegetation, nine new trees, irrigation and river rock. These kinds of projects help reduce the urban heat island effect and are critical tools in our City’s efforts to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.
