Mission Prayer

Our mission prayer this week is for the Mahons

The Mahon family are serving in Peru as part of BMS' long-term programme. Based in Iquitos, they are working alongside the Loreto Association of Baptist Churches. They are involved in teaching and curriculum development at the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre, and also support the running of the centre. Dave and Michele are both Baptist ministers, and have three children: Jonathan, Ruth and Phoebe. You can download and read their latest update here.

Men's Spring Breakfast Meeting - Thanks

A big thank you to all those who made it to the breakfast meeting. We had a really good conversation and hope that you were blessed by the fellowship and good food. Big thank you to those who chipped in with the cooking and washing up too!
We hope to have a write up of some of the useful tips we shared which will be on our website soon.

Coronavirus - looking after yourself and others

The current strain of coronavirus (Covid-19) is continuing to spread and we have been monitoring the advice from Public Health England and the London Baptist Association.
Please remember to:
  • wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, regularly during the day or use hand sanitiser
  • catch your sneezes in a tissue and dispose of it immediately
  • avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • if you feel unwell, stay at home
If you do have coughs or sneezes please refrain from handshaking or embracing others. Also please don't be offended if someone refuses a handshake or hug.
We will continue to pray for all our sisters and brothers across the world who have been, and are continuing to be, affected by COVID-19.  We pray that all will know God’s overwhelming, steadfast love.

Digital skills - social media 101 - cancelled

Unfortunately, this workshop has been cancelled due to the low numbers showing interest in this session. Clement will still be holding 1-1 sessions with those who have had conversations with him previously.

Youth Dance at St Peter's

St Peter's Church, Wickham Road, is holding free youth street dance classes for years 7-13 on Monday evenings, 6.30-7.30pm.

Standing in the gap

Pray for those working on the frontline at risk of infection from Covid-19. Pray for our GPs, nurses, emergency doctors and first responders.

Pray that we can be the beacon of light in our community where all seems dark and confused.
