Welcome to your weekly newsletter from Crofton Park Baptist Church. This week Helen Bogle is leading our service and Steve Ewing is preaching.
You were formed for God's family
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other Romans 12:4-5, New Living Translation

Our mission prayer this week is for the Mahons
The Mahon family are serving in Peru as part of BMS' long-term programme. Based in Iquitos, they are working alongside the Loreto Association of Baptist Churches. They are involved in teaching and curriculum development at the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre, and also support the running of the centre. Dave and Michele are both Baptist ministers, and have three children: Jonathan, Ruth and Phoebe. You can download and read their latest update here.
Men's Spring Breakfast Meeting
Our next breakfast meeting will take place next Saturday the 14th of March at 10am in the church hall. As usual, we will start with a cooked breakfast and finish off with some stimulating conversation. We'll be discussing how we can maintain our mental health and wellbeing in a world where all seems lost. Bring your experiences and how you have been able to support others. Tickets are £5.
The current strain of coronavirus (Covid-19) is continuing to spread and we have been monitoring the advice from Public Health England and the London Baptist Association.
Please remember to:
wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, regularly during the day or use hand sanitiser
catch your sneezes in a tissue and dispose of it immediately
avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
if you feel unwell, stay at home
If you do have coughs or sneezes please refrain from handshaking or embracing others. Also please don't be offended if someone refuses a handshake or hug.
We will continue to pray for all our sisters and brothers across the world who have been, and are continuing to be, affected by COVID-19. We pray that all will know God’s overwhelming, steadfast love.
Digital skills - social media 101
The first digital skills workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 8 at 10am at Crofton Park Baptist Church and will cover the basics of using social media safely and effectively. We will look at how to set yourself up on social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. How you can look after your information and how to keep your children safe online. This session will suit people of any age who have never used social media or aren't quite sure if they are using it in the right way. It will also suit parents who might want some tips on how to keep their kids safe online. Places are free for church members and £5 for non-members. Visit our website and Facebook page for more details or contact Clement on 07805 900571 or email email@example.com.
