Mission Prayer

This week we are praying for Home Mission

Home Mission is the name given to the area of Baptist life within the UK.
Each church is asked to make a financial contribution to outreach which cannot afford the stipend of a minister or youth worker.

Thank you to all of you who continue to send in your offerings and tithes online. If you are a regular giver or wish to make a donation you can do so online through our website. It's safe, secure and is another way of reducing the risk of spreading contamination through the use of cash or cheques. As ever, you are not obliged to give but if it is your wish to, this route is open to you.

New Cross fire 40th anniversary service

18 January was the 40th anniversary of the New Cross fire in which claimed the lives of 14 young black people. Due to the pandemic a planned memorial service couldn't be held as a physical gathering. However, a memorial service was held online at St Andrew's Church in Brockley. You can watch it online here.

January call to prayer - Week 4

There will not be any weekly virtual prayer meetings, but where possible, we encourage you to pray in unison with others at these times:-
Monday 3-4pm; Wednesday 10.30am–11.30am; Friday 7.30pm–8.30pm
You can sign up to receive a reminder by text, email or a phone call. Please let Maudlyn or Judith know as soon as possible. However, if these times are not convenient, please pray whenever works in your schedule.

We are reading Ephesians Chapter 6 this week, and the focus verse is:
Chapter 6 verse 10 and 11: A final word, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil".

We end the month with a Zoom prayer meeting on Saturday 30th January, 10.30-11.30am. Please do join us and make sure your profile name on Zoom is identifiable. During this meeting, there will be an opportunity for you to share how you feel God has spoken to you during the prayer month.
