Church still under pressure - Be alert!
(Clear understanding and assurance in the face of confusion) 'Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say' 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
With the news that Olive received her homecall last Sunday evening, please remember her family in your prayer, especially son Mark and daughter Jan, along with Carol, Daniel and David, Emily, Ray and Sophie.
This week we are praying for Tearfund
Tearfund is a Christian charity passionate about ending poverty. They work through local churches to unlock people's potential. They work in over 50 of the world's poorest countries.
Church reopening plans
We are now pleased to inform you that subject to no subsequent reintroduction of restrictions on places of worship, we will reopen our church building for Sunday morning worship on 20 September. You should be receiving a letter in the near future outlining the changes that are being introduced to comply with government regulations and in order to create as safe an environment as possible. At the same time, we will continue to provide a prerecorded online service for those who need to, or would prefer to, stay at home.
Zoom catchups paused for the holiday
We will be pausing our Zoom Friday catchups over the Summer break. Shola is happy to continue the quiz on a monthly basis so if you are interested please let us know.
You can continue to keep in touch with friends using Zoom or on our WorkPlace site which also has video calling. Why not use them to set up your prayer groups and meetings online?
Giving your offering online
Thank you to all of you who continue to send in your offerings and tithes online. If you are a regular giver or wish to make a donation you can do so online through our website. It's safe, secure and is another way of reducing the risk of spreading contamination through the use of cash or cheques. As ever, you are not obliged to give but if it is your wish to, this route is open to you.
