‘What seemed like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them ’
Welcome to your weekly newsletter from Crofton Park Baptist Church! This week Clement Oke is leading and our message comes from Canon J John. Join us at 10:30 or click the button below to set a reminder.
The Mahon family are serving in Peru. Based in Iquitos, they are working alongside the Loreto Association of Baptist Churches as they look to implement a sustainability plan over the coming years. They are involved in teaching and curriculum development at the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre, and also support the running of the centre. Dave and Michele are both Baptist ministers and have served at Brockley Baptist Church in southeast London for four years. They have three children: Jonathan, Ruth and Phoebe.
We have updated the site to allow you to choose your own donation amount. If you are a regular giver or wish to make a donation you can do so online through our website. It's safe, secure and is another way of reducing the risk of spreading contamination through the use of cash or cheques. As ever, you are not obliged to give but if it is your wish to, this route is open to you.
The Rainbow Drop In playgroup will be opening its doors this Tuesday 8th June at 9.15 pm. We're looking forward to welcoming back the little ones to a warm, lively and safe environment. Thanks also to the volunteers who helped clean the toys in preparation for our opening.
Steve won't be in this week and possibly next week also due to medical reasons. Please pray that God heals him quickly and completely. Pray also for Nwabs and the boys for strength and support.
Time to write to your MP?
Watching the news about the situation in our society and the world can sometimes make us feel powerless. From issues such as violence on our streets to aid cuts affecting poorer countries at a time when they need it most. If you are wondering what to do to help, write to your MP about your concerns. The charity Power The Fight is campaigning to end violence affecting young people and have published a newsletter template on their website along with a link to find out who your MP is.
Pray for an end to violence against our youth in the UK. Pray for the families of Dea-John Reid, the 14-year-old stabbed to death in Birmingham and Tony Eastlake, the flower seller stabbed to death in Islington.
Pray for those facing the threat of eviction as the eviction ban expires allowing landlords to serve notice on tenants.
