Mission Prayer

This week we are praying for The Chungs

The Chungs are a missionary family who have been working in Myanmar for many years now. Through learning the local language where they are based they teach and spread the Word of God to the community. They often work in hostile and difficult situations.

Happy Mother's Day

Wishing all mothers a wonderful time this Mother's day!

Thank you to all of you who continue to send in your offerings and tithes online. If you are a regular giver or wish to make a donation you can do so online through our website. It's safe, secure and is another way of reducing the risk of spreading contamination through the use of cash or cheques. As ever, you are not obliged to give but if it is your wish to, this route is open to you.

Church Reopening Again

With hopeful news of falling Covid-19 infection rates and the government plan for gradually easing restrictions, we are pleased to inform you Crofton Park will be open for worship again from Sunday 14th March. We look forward to welcoming many of you back from today and we hope others among you will now feel able to come as well.
Please be assured that everything remains in place to ensure as safe an environment as possible for those who attend. At least for the time being, the same health, hygiene and social distancing measures as in November will remain in place.
While this is good news for those who feel able to come and join us, we also recognise that some of you may quite understandably not feel able to do so yet. We will therefore continue to provide a livestream of the Sunday service via the usual channels, which can also be viewed later as a recording.

Lil's Funeral

There will be a service for Lil at Hither Green at 3.15pm on Thursday 8th April. Attendance at this service will be invitation only.

Communion Service

We will be celebrating communion this week in church and with friends and members joining online. If you are watching the livestream today, don't forget to have a small red drink and a piece of bread ready for the service.

Pastoral Issues

If you are aware of any pastoral issues that you feel the church pastoral team should be aware of, please contact Steve or a member of the Leadership Team.

Where You Go, I Will Go - new study on the book of Ruth

Where You Go, I Will Go is a 40-day series of Bible studies, reflections and prayers on the book of Ruth. In the Bible Ruth helps her mother-in-law, Naomi, find protection after their husbands die. Ruth is subsequently mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew.
As we've been studying the Book of Ruth over the past few weeks you might find this series of Bible studies to go through over the lent period. The book is available to order on the Baptist Union Website.
