Authentic discipleship - the battle for our minds

"Don't copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will be able to know God's will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect "

Mission Prayer

Our mission prayer this week is for the Mahons

The Mahon family are serving in Peru as part of BMS' long-term programme. Based in Iquitos, they are working alongside the Loreto Association of Baptist Churches as they look to implement a sustainability plan over the coming years. They are involved in teaching and curriculum development at the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre, and also support the running of the centre.

CPBC Annual General Meeting and call for papers

Our annual members' general meeting will take at 4pm on the 26th January 2020 in the church beginning with refreshments and an opportunity to reflect on 2019. This will be an opportunity to find out what we achieved through God’s grace in the past year.
If you lead a team in the church, please submit your reports to Helen no later than Wednesday 22nd January 2020.

CPBC Month of Prayer

January will mark the beginning of a month of prayer for Crofton Park Baptist Church. Why not find a prayer partner or prayer triplet to arrange to meet together with during the month? Prayer cards, with prayer points for each day of the week, are now available.

Week of Prayer

This week is our more focused week of prayer from Saturday 18th to Friday 24th January.  With our first session held at 10am this Saturday, there are three more  opportunities for those who are able, to gather together for an hour of prayer at the church. This will be at the following times:

  • Tuesday (21st) 2pm
  • Thursday (23rd) 8pm
  • Friday (24th) 10am

Digital skills training

Clement is planning to run some courses for individuals and local businesses to help them develop their skills in the use of social media and the internet. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please ask them to contact him on 07805 900571 or email

Everyone is warmly invited to the AGM of Lewcas being held in our church on Tuesday 21 Jan at 7pm beginning with a hot meal. The guest speaker is our Mayor Damien Egan.

Standing in the gap

Pray for our members who are unable to make it to church, whether through ill health or infirmity. Keep them in mind throughout the week.

Let us give thanks to God for Aadil Umair Rahim who was found safe and well nine hours after going missing on a school trip.
Send in your announcement for the newsletter by Wednesday to be included in the next issue.
