Please join Dakota BUSINESS Finance on October 27th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at The Country Club of Sioux Falls to recognize the borrowers and lenders DBF has had the pleasure of working with in FFY 2022.
A short program will be held at 5:00 p.m. to recognize the 2022 Dakota BUSINESS Finance “Lender of the Year”, “Individual Lender of the Year” and “Friend of Dakota BUSINESS Finance” recipients.
The grand prize drawing for the lender’s trip to Las Vegas will occur at 6:00 p.m.
Lenders who have qualified for the drawing will be given their ticket(s) at the event table and must be present to win.

Luke Garry of American Bank & Trust worked with Dakota BUSINESS Finance to assist Slim Chickens Iowa with an SBA 504 loan for the construction of a building in Ankeny, IA. The transaction is somewhat unique as it involved financing a building on leased land.
Slim Chickens is a fast casual restaurant headquartered in Fayetteville, AR. The organization started in 2003 and now has 110 stores across 19 states and international locations in London and Kuwait. Slim Chickens currently has locations in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska, but this is the first location in Iowa.

Dakota BUSINESS Finance worked with Kevin Wagner of First Bank & Trust to assist Green Thumb Commodities with an SBA 504 loan for the expansion of its grain elevator including the purchase of equipment and construction of a new building in Jefferson, SD.
Green Thumb Commodities has been supplying farmers and retailers with quality seed since 1974. The business operates a grain cleaning elevator mill that buys and sells grains, cleans, packages, and sells a variety of products including cover crop and bird seed. Green Thumb currently operates in Oldham, SD and added the Jefferson facility in March 2020.

Patti Hood of Great Southern Bank worked with Dakota BUSINESS Finance to assist Ashworth Chiropractic and Acupuncture Clinic with an SBA 504 loan for the purchase and renovation of a building in West Des Moines, IA.
Ashworth Chiropractic and Acupuncture Clinic offers chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, and massage therapy to meet the needs of its patients. The business works to meet the patients goals, whether that is getting out of pain, sports performance enhancement, or health and wellness.

Dakota BUSINESS Finance worked with Matt Zeller of First Interstate Bank to assist Aligned Ag with an SBA 504 loan for the construction of a new building in Aberdeen, SD.
Aligned Ag was formed in 2019 and focuses on the sale of seed, seed treatments, crop protection, liquid fertilizers, and consulting. The business' customer focus is on progressive farmers across northern South Dakota who are willing to push their yield potential, even during tougher economic times, to help farmers maintain a positive return-on-investment.

Mark Kleinwolterink of Iowa State Bank worked with Dakota BUSINESS Finance to assist Wheelchair Dynamics with an SBA 504 loan for the purchase and renovation of a building in Sioux Falls, SD.
Wheelchair Dynamics is a retailer selling affordable, quality solutions for home healthcare needs. The business offers a full range of medical equipment and supplies. It advertises superior products and knowledgeable staff. This is the business' fourth location, with the other three located in Iowa.

Dakota BUSINESS Finance worked with Paul O'Neill of Dacotah Bank to assist Fieber's Dairy with an SBA 504 loan for the construction of two new barns and facility improvements located near Goodwin, SD.
Fieber's Dairy is a family owned milking business founded in 1981. The dairy is managed by the founders' four sons and two grandchildren. Currently, the dairy milks 906 head of Holstein cows but the expansion will allow the operation to grow to 1,500 total milking cows.
