Summer is just around the corner

.. here's hoping we have plenty of sunshine and blue skies so we can enjoy our outdoor spaces and holidays this summer.

It's at this time of year that we see patients who make the most of the better weather and overdo the gardening, are a little enthusiastic with beach sports with the children, or get inspired by Wimbledon fortnight and rush to find their racket for a game on the nearest court.   Without wanting to damper anyone's spirits, enjoy yourself but remember to take it easy especially if you have been sat behind a desk all year.  if you do find yourself in need for some support, then give us a call for an appointment, or alternatively remember our Back SOS on our website.

If you are heading off to guaranteed warmer climes this summer, or maybe you are off for a hiking trip, you may be thinking about giving your feet an MOT before you so they are in tip-top shape.  Our Chiropody and Podiatry team will be able to assist you with foot and nail treatments or with assessments for your gait.

You may be interested in trying out new treatments this Summer, Caroline Wardropper joined us earlier this year and is our resident acupuncturist.  There are many benefits to acupuncture, including headaches, musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.  Caroline has a special interest in using acupuncture for fertility and to support patients going through assisted fertility treatment, including IVF. For more information or to book in for a free 15 minute consultation with Caroline call 01925 752264

Would you know the signs of a Stroke?

The NHS’s campaign FAST helps us to remember the key signs and re-enforces the need to act quickly and can help save a life and limit the long-term effects of a stroke.
  • Face – has their face fallen on one side? Are they able to smile?
  • Arms – can they raise their arms and keep them there?
  • Speech – is it slurred?
  • Time – if you notice any of these signs, then call 999
