Jim Green is sharing the message this Sunday.
His text is John 11, 14, & 20,
and his title is:
What I Learned from Thomas

Let's commit to praying for the Holy Spirit's help
for Jim to feed the flock.

Reconciliation Meditation
Last week at the Q&A we introduced a vision for Swedesford Road Church. We will be rolling this out in stages each month  Here is the opening mission and vision:

Under the authority of the exalted Christ, Swedesford Road Church will make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded, both through his teaching during his earthly ministry and through the apostles who completed his teaching and wrote moved by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20).

Swedesford Road Church will thrive in its strategic location by preaching the riches of Christ, building up the body to do the work of the ministry, mentoring aspiring pastors, and planting like-minded churches.
Your servant in Christ's cause,
--Steve Carter

Please pray for:

1.  God's direction in deciding what the next sermon series will be. The new series will begin on September 12.

2.  The launch of Sunday school for kids, also on September 12.
In Prayer for Kabul

• Pray for appropriate and expedient solutions to ongoing threats of violence.

• Pray for Afghans who are seeking Truth to boldly embrace a new identity in Christ.

• Pray for protection over Afghan believers and perseverance despite suffering.

Thoughts of Afghanistan bring images of war, violence, and terror. In the face of decades of suffering, it can be easy to forget the many people who live this reality day after day. Seventy-seven people groups, both tribal and nomadic, dot the beautiful Afghan countryside. . . .

Watch a video and read more about Kabul here . . .

You're Invited to join us as we explore what it means to live
with a burning passion for Christ - a heart that is on fire!

About this event:

The ultimate purpose of this retreat is for men to leave this weekend with a renewed passion for Christ and hearts burning for Him, then knowing how to consistently live with a growing passion for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Few men have lived with a passion for Christ more than the apostle Paul. Throughout this retreat, we will explore 10 Christ-centered factors that fueled Paul’s passion for Christ throughout his epistles.

Those who attend this retreat can expect to leave with a renewed passion for Christ and a Christ-centered blueprint that is designed to fuel their passion for Christ for the rest of their lives.
