April In The Trial Garden
Spring has sprung! Our row of Sweet Peas is steadily creeping up its supporting trellis. These little seedlings held tight to the ground during the cold months, withstanding the rain and frost and now they just burst with vigor. We’re looking forward to colorful and fragrant sweet pea bouquets.
Next fall, we will introduce Container Kale, ‘Green Curls.’ These compact plants with densely curled leaves have wonderful, sweet flavor and hold well in the garden. We are growing it again now to take “new intro” website photos.
We have beds of just about every Renee’s Garden heading lettuce we offer planted out in preparation for a Country Home magazine article that Renee will be writing. The mix of colors and textures of each variety are going to look totally gorgeous and the editors are also going to photograph some of the recipes from Renee’s Garden Cookbook. We can’t wait to see the published pictures of our garden!
