What is Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)?
FHE is a new form of encryption that enables computation on encrypted data, generating an encrypted result which, when decrypted, matches the result of the operations as if they had been performed on the plain data.
FHE may have tremendous implications, the most obvious of which relates to cloud services.  FHE allows companies to provide services to customers and industries like healthcare and finance that do not want to expose their data. It may sound like science fiction, but applications of FHE such as performing facial recognition on encrypted images and running analytics on encrypted data are now well within reach.
