Wiltshire Wobbleberries Team News
So here we are in November already! I have a huge amount to share with you this time so please grab a coffee or even a glass of wine, get your diary ready and sit back and digest all the exciting stuff I have to share with you over the coming page or two!
Oh Wow Club!
Firstly I would like to say a HUGE well done to those of you that have already donated to the Oh Wow Club - myself, Lyn Buckland, Eve Bateman, Tracy Brett and Claire Warman! Well done ladies and I am sure many more of us will have some "Oh Wow" moments in the coming months. This is a little bit of fun where you donate to the county JG page a small donation of just £2. In return for that you will be entered into a draw at the end of the season to win a bottle a champagne donated by the Garden Elf (my hubby's business) plus a number of other goodies. For each oh wow moment you will be awarded a raffle ticket so definitely worth it. It is really essential we celebrate these moments and it be as simple as your first jump for many years (a massive thing) or a great hack or your first clinic - whatever makes you go "Oh Wow!"
We have also had a few (thankfully only a few) members to our Tumblers Club! This is a roll back to my hunting days and if you take a tumble you simply donate a small amount to the county JG page for the end of season draw again similar to the Oh Wow club!.I am a member along with my elbow and we also have members from WB HQ (Sally) as well as our neighbouring counties of Hampshire and Dorset. No one wants to fall off but this is turning it into a positive and raising a few extra pennies in the process so all good! Garden Elf is donating another bottle of champagne and we are also collecting a few other goodies together for this one as well from our lovely supporters!
So together with all the official BE documents, handbook and dressage tests, etc I have already uploaded to the files section of the group I would also like to share with you some other resources as I discover them. The first is a brilliant book published in association with British Eventing and as comprehensive guide as you could wish for from Liza Randall. "Eventing Explained" by Liza Randall and published by Kenilworth Press is an indispenable guide to getting started in the sport of eventing! I have been lucky enough to event before but even I am discovering lots of top tips in this book and already on p103 during my broken elbow reading catch up time!
