The Federation Council approved the draft federal law "On the Introduction of Amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offences", which establishes the administrative liability for a failure by an Internet provider to perform the obligation to limit or resume access to the information on the basis of the data received from Roskomnadzor.  Read more:

Eurasian Antitrust Forum
On 16 – 17 February 2017, Almaty has hosted the Annual Eurasian Antitrust Forum, organised by Centre of Development and Protection of Competition Policy JSC,  Association of Competition and Commodity Markets Development (Astana, Kazakhstan) and Competition Support in the CIS Non-Commercial Partnership (Moscow, Russia). GRATA International has been represented at the event by Aliya Zhumekenova, Senior Lawyer. 
Cyber Security Forum 2017 in Moscow, Russia

The round-tables discussions covered recent changes in the regulation of information security and protection of personal data, in particular, the 'Yarovaya Package' and a draft federal law on the Big Data being developed, as well as the peculiarities of the inspections by Roskomnadzor of personal data operators. Yana Dianova, Director of the Corporate and Commercial Law Department, GRATA International (Moscow office), took part in the Cyber Security Forum 2017 on 7 February 2017 in Moscow. Read more:
United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) annual conference in Washington, DC

2017 USACC Annual Conference was themed: “Looking Ahead: Diplomacy, Business, Trade & Investment” and dedicated to celebration of 25th anniversary of United States-Azerbaijan diplomatic relations. The event brought together 38 distinguished speakers, over 250 participants representing American and Azerbaijani government agencies and companies, leading American think-tanks, international organizations, America’s Fortune 500 companies, large investment banks and funds as well as members of diplomatic corps.
